Who We Are-

The LSBID is the state regulatory board for Registered Interior Designers in Louisiana. In 1999 the Louisiana Legislature passed the Interior Design Practice Act. This act prohibits anyone without a license from this Board from practicing interior design in Louisiana.

The practice of interior design involves life safety codes, the Americans with Disabilities Act, fire or building codes, or any other regulatory code or ordinance.

Our Mission-

Our mission is to protect the health, safety and welfare of the public in interior environments by regulating the practice of interior design and the use of the title "Interior Designers"; utilization of the National Council of Interior Design Qualifications’ (NCIDQ) examination; and providing continuing education for Registered Interior Designers.

LSBID requires each licensee to keep the agency notified of his/her current address. Please contact the Board office ASAP anytime you have a change of contact info—address, phone, or email.

E-mail communication is the most reliable and time-efficient method of keeping you up-to-date on developments. Please keep us in touch with you.
