The LA State Board of Examiners of Interior Designers will award annually a scholarship for an outstanding graduating senior from a Louisiana accredited Interior Design program. The Dan Bouligny Young Interior Designer Award recognizes the impressive contributions made to our profession by Dan Bouligny, the founding father of licensing in the state of Louisiana and the first chairman of the board.  This award honors Mr. Bouligny’s unparalleled work and his achievements by recognizing the potential of a student who has exhibited exceptional gifts and talents. This student should be a graduating senior who has successfully demonstrated capabilities of performing tasks that are necessary to fulfill professional endeavors.

Applicants for the Dan Bouligny Award will be judged for academic superiority, extra-curricular participation, and outstanding personal qualities and character. The annual winner will be chosen by the Board.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of a four year accredited Louisiana Interior Design Program

  • GPA of 3.0 or higher

  • Community Service

  • Membership in a Campus Professional Interior Design Organization or student membership in ASID or IIDA.
