BOARD RESOLUTION OCTOBER 6,
2009
It
is the mission of the Louisiana State Board of Examiners
of Interior Designers to promote and support the
profession of interior design in the state of Louisiana in
order to protect the health, safety and welfare of the
public; and
Further,
there are at least three interior design educational
programs accredited by the Council for Interior Design
Accreditation
(CIDA)
at Louisiana universities; and
Further,
the profession of interior design provides a vibrant and
important economic benefit to the state’s economy; it is
hereby
Resolved that the Board encourages and supports the
accredited interior design programs offered by Louisiana
institutions of higher learning; it is further
Resolved that the board opposes any reduction or closure
of interior design programs offered by Louisiana
institutions of higher learning.

compliance with our statutes regarding publication of
Registered Interior Designer’s license numbers
on all
advertising including
letterheads,
business cards,
forms, and
signage and use of the Interior Designer’s stamps on
drawings. Omissions are a violation of our statutes.
Please be aware that these
regulations will be strictly and aggressively enforced, and
fines for noncompliance will be levied.
